Get your files print-ready.
Following these guidelines helps us print your files exactly right the first time — no delays, no surprises.
Accepted file formats
PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, INDD, PSD, JPG and PNG. Always include fonts as outlines or embedded.
Resolution
Minimum 300 DPI at final print size. Lower resolutions will look blurry or pixelated when printed.
Colour mode
Set up your file in CMYK, not RGB. Screen colours won't always match the printed result.
Bleed & margins
Add 3mm bleed on all sides, and keep important text at least 5mm from the trim edge.
File size
Upload files up to 250MB directly. Larger files can be sent via WeTransfer to hello@printhuis.net.
Proofing
We send a digital proof before printing anything larger than 50 units — approval required.

What is "bleed" and why do I need it?
Bleed is extra artwork (usually 3mm) that extends past the trim line. It prevents thin white edges from appearing if the cut shifts by a millimetre during production.
Can I send an RGB file if I don't know how to convert it?
Yes — send it as is and let us know. We'll convert it to CMYK for you, though colours may shift slightly from what you see on screen.
Do you offer physical proofs, not just digital ones?
Yes, for large runs or colour-critical jobs we can print a physical proof before the full run, for an additional fee and one extra production day.
What if my file doesn't meet these specs?
We check every file on arrival. If something's off, we'll contact you with exactly what needs fixing before we print — never a surprise after the fact.
